We are pleased to announce the National Library of Medicine's traveling exhibit Changing the Face of Medicine: Celebrating America's Women Physicians will be coming to Kansas City. This prestigious exhibit will only be seen in 61 selected public, academic and medical libraries throughout the United States.   The exhibition examines the lives and achievements of women in medicine since they first gained admission to American medical schools 150 years ago. Metro Med has partnered with the University of Missouri ? Kansas City Medical School, the University of Kansas Medical School and the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and we want you, our members to take part.

We ask that you tell your story and upload a photo as part of Metro Med?s an online gallery which will profile area women physicians. Not only will these online profiles be a record of your career in medicine but they will be used in middle and high schools across the area as a career development tool. Just think?you could inspire a young woman to enter the field.
